Movie Review and animal porn

Watched the movie The Guardian last night. You know, the one about the Coast Guard rescue swimmers starring Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher.

Excellent movie...until the last ten minutes.

Ashton Kutcher is awesome in this movie. He really shows his acting chops. So much so, in fact, that he kind of overshadows Kevin Costner. Either that or Costner can't or didn't act very well in the movie.

And really, I'm such a "get-involved" movie watcher that I can overlook a lot of bad acting but if I notice that you appear stiff and are just saying lines well...you must be having an off day or somethin'

Now, back to the movie. Fabulous storyline, great acting by Kutcher and the rest of the cast. But the ending (which I will not reveal here) sucked.

I mean, sucked so bad that I ranted for a full 3 minutes afterwards to hubby about how this was the single worst ending of a movie in the history of my life (yeah, so? I exaggerate. It's not like you never knew that.)

Sucked so bad that I actually watched the alternate ending hoping it was better.

Ugh! The movie itself was phenomenal up until the last 10 or 15 minutes.

The alternate ending would have been a better choice even though it was obviously made half-heartedly in hopes that it would not be used.

Anyway, I don't want to totally discourage someone from seeing it because it was good...except for the stupid ending.

We had two swans in the river behind our house this morning. They swam by and I was telling Potatie that swans mate for life so those two are probably husband and wife (common-law or otherwise since we are unaware if there was an actual ceremony)

Fifteen minutes after I tell this beautiful story of mating-for-life what happens but the two come swimming back...with a third swan with them.

Can swans even say three-some?
