I want my own house.

I need a nap.

Why is it that the more you do, the more you need to do?

My house is in desperate need of a top to bottom cleaning and I just don't seem to have the time to do it...although I seem to have the time to spend on here updating.

Let's not go there, ok?

I find it nearly impossible to really clean my house when my family is in it. I mean they just follow behind me making messes as I go.

Is it selfish to want my own house?

I mean I'll go visit them and everything but I would like one house just for me. NO dog hair, NO school papers, NO woodworking magazines. NO gobs of toothpaste on the bathroom counter, NO little, tiny LEGOs that maim you when you least expect it.

One house where if I put something down, it's still there when I come back in the room.

I guess that would be called divorce.

I spent the weekend volunteering with the local animal shelter for a fundraising event. It was lots of fun and I met the most amazing animals. There was an Alaskan Malamute who was HUGE but was the best behaved dog. I mean we had a room that was about 30 feet by 30 feet and in that room we had 18 dogs, 6 cats and a rabbit so there definitely was room for chaos but all the animals were great, the owners were fabulous and the volunteers went over and above. If you're ever looking for a good volunteering experience, try your local shelter.

Halloween tomorrow night - I think my kid's costumes are ready. The boy is going to be the same thing he is every year...a Pokemon character. My oldest is going to be an elf (her friend is going as Santa) and my middle one is going as Jacklyn Frost, Jack Frost's daughter...yeah, I know, wild imagination. So by tomorrow night our house will have more than it's share of candy in it and I will have to dig deep for willpower....
