Spa Pedicure....*sigh*

I went for my spa pedicure last night.

*sigh*

It was fantastic.

The plan was for me and Mrs. Loopy to meet at a bar and have a drink and then go get our pedicures in side-by-sid chairs and then go for dinner at a nice sushi restaurant.

(I know, that was a run-on sentence but I should get credit for using the proper "me" instead of the "I")

Anyhow, like most times that Loopy and I get together this one had some hilarious changes of plan.

I pull into the parking lot of the bar we were going to have the drink at and wouldn't you know the damn place is closed. It was open last week and now, today, it's closed. Stupidheads.

I drive around thinking to myself that I can barely remember what Loopy's car looks like because it's a new one. Finally, though, I spot her and pull up beside her, roll down my window and yell, "What the hell??"

She says that she swears that it was open just last week and with a sly little grin she asks, "Do you want a glass of wine?"

That's right, we sat in her car and shared a bottle of red wine that she got as a Christmas gift.

No, we did not drink it out of the bottle - whaddaya think?

We poured it into an insulated cup (for her) and an empty water bottle (for me).

It was nice wine too. And we had some chocolate truffles from France. We are some high class beatches, I tell you.

Now, the pedicure was ... wonderful.

We sat in massaging chairs and got our feet done and our legs massaged and we were brought glasses of water with lime in it. Real glasses too, not plastic ones. It was so relaxing.

I think we should get it done every six months...like right before summer and then right before Christmas. Yes, that's what I think we should do.

Then, to cap off the night we went to a nice Sushi restaurant and had a sushi dinner that we ate entirely with chopsticks...well, except for the soup but I used them on the salad which was no small task, my friends.

All in all, it was fabulous and I'd like to take this oppportunity to thank Mrs. Loopy for coming up with the idea...my life is much more fun with you in it, my friend. Thank you.

P.S. Just so you all know, we each paid for our own because neither one of us won our weight loss challenge. THAT is apparently the one thing we cannot do together. Sad...sad, but true. Although we frickin' rock at eating and drinking together.
